Voicethread seems like a great tool for video

Coveritlive -students can contribute to a discussion while you are talking.....can use this like a Twitter
  • could use it as a pop quiz
  • can put out a poll to your responses
  • can embed into your wiki

Delicious good online bookmarking program
  • I still like portaportal

Onetruemedia- just like Moviemaker, but free, can upload files and videos
  • 100 MB. a month

Animoto- just upload pictures and it can put the photos into an animation with music
  • example: have students go find pictures that represent the character of the person or the genre of a book ...similar to Photostory
  • free app on your phone

Vocaroo- quickly records your voice

Slideshare /Slideroll takes your Powerpoints and upload your sight, share out to the web and it gives you an embed code that you embed into your wiki
  • max file share is 100MB
  • this is great for putting my Powerpoints
  • actually might be too slow and might be better to just put the Powerpoint onto wiki

Skype- great chat program, need webcam
  • there is a free plugin so you can have people join in

Linkedin- professional type of facebook

Wayco tablet-not software, this is hardware

Online whiteboard-can draw on this tablet
  • if you don't have a USB pen to draw with
  • can use this for students to join in
  • drawing took and can embed

Dabbleboard -can draw and collaborate as you draw, many people online
  • could use it for logos, can upload a file

USB pen to draw on the computer-again gadget

Smart is like a smartboard online....can circle words...maybe use this for web design

Teachertube is great....better than youtube because it won't be blocked

TaDa/Zenbe is good for a to do list,
  • share list
  • list could be good for students that don't read, can check lists.

If you Tag it, makes items shareable by using common tags

Biggest mistake by not remembering your passwords
  • under security, you can get into your saved passwords on Firefox

OnePassword is a paid software program that remembers passwords...only for Macs...syncs for each computer.

Photo resizing ---good for batch photos to a resize of all your photos from your camera
